Additional Information
Recognizing nursing as a STEM field acknowledges its scientific and technological foundation, the intellectual rigor involved in its practice, and its pivotal role in advancing healthcare through innovation and research. Including nursing in STEM classifications could also enhance funding, recognition, and career opportunities for the profession. It would help solve the workforce shortages and attract more -- and more diverse -- students to the profession.
Join us to hear from Nursing is STEM Coalition Executive Director, Jason Garbarino, DNP, RN, GERO-BC, CNL, about the Coalition and what nurse leaders can do to help elevate nursing to achieve this vision! Admission is free, but registration is required.
