In today’s fast-paced and increasingly complex healthcare environment, many nurse leaders face challenges in effectively fostering collaboration across professional roles. Despite their clinical expertise, for many nurses stepping into leadership positions, opportunities for meaningful peer networking and mentorship are often limited, contributing to professional isolation and decreased leadership effectiveness. This session will highlight structured opportunities for peer connection and professional growth.

Deborah Maier is a highly accomplished nursing professional with over 25 years of nursing experience in advanced clinical practice, critical care, and healthcare leadership. Holding a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from St John Fisher University since 2022, she combines evidence-based practice with strategic innovation to drive patient-centered outcomes and organizational excellence. Her certifications underscore her expertise in delivering high-acuity care and advancing critical care practices. Dr. Maier is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) specializing in Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist (ACCNS-AG) care who obtained that degree from St John Fisher College in 2018. Deborah is adept at managing complex clinical situations, implementing quality improvement initiatives, and mentoring multidisciplinary teams. As a RRH executive, Debbie demonstrates her commitment to fostering collaborative environments, optimizing operational processes, and championing transformational change in healthcare settings. She is a passionate advocate for professional development, frequently serving as a mentor and speaker on topics such as evidence-based practice, leadership in nursing, and innovations in practice at the national and local level. With a deep commitment to excellence, Deborah Maier continues to shape the future of nursing through her dedication to clinical expertise, compassionate leadership, and unwavering focus on improving patient outcomes.
