Job Title: Staff Nurse (RN) – Acute Care / Ambulatory Setting

Location: Norwich, NY

Schedule: Full-time | 3x12 or 5x8 shifts (varied) | Onsite

Start Date: August 2025

Contract Type: 13 week contract

Pay: Competitive, based on experience

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in an acute care or ambulatory setting. The Staff Nurse will assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a diverse patient population while working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Safely administer medications and monitor patient response.
• Educate patients and families on health management, recovery, and discharge planning.
• Document all nursing interventions accurately and timely in the EMR.
• Participate in quality and safety initiatives, unit-based projects, and shared governance.
• Support a healing and respectful environment through professional communication and compassion.
• Provide support and guidance to new staff and nursing students as needed.

Qualifications:

• Active NYS RN license (Required)
• BLS certification (AHA, ARC, or HSI – Required)
• 6 months to 5+ years of direct RN experience
• Strong collaboration, time management, and communication skills
• BSN preferred, Associate’s accepted with relevant experience or BSN in progress
• Previous experience in acute care or ambulatory setting strongly preferred

Preferred Certifications (may vary by unit):

• ACLS, PALS, or other specialty certifications
• Specialty board certification in nursing (preferred, not required)
