 Job Description:

The Baldwin Nursing Program at Siena College is a dynamic and growing program and is seeking applicants for a full-time administrative Master’s Program Director to develop and manage a new Master’s Entry to Practice Program. This program will provide a direct pathway to the nursing profession and licensure for students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree in another field. The Master’s Program Director will initially be responsible for working with faculty to develop and seek New York State Education Department, Office of the Professions approval for this new program. Once the program is approved, this position includes student advising, issue resolution, monitoring and forecasting student progression, as well as recruitment and admissions. In addition, a critical component of the Master’s Program Director role is facilitating the program evaluation process in partnership with the Department Chair and faculty for accreditation and reporting purposes. The Master’s Program Director will teach one course per academic year. This is a full-time, 12-month position that reports to the Chair of the Nursing Department, and provides a competitive salary and excellent benefits. The Master’s Program Director job position begins September 1, 2024.

The Baldwin Nursing Program at Siena College provides an education that is congruent with the Siena College mission and learning goals and offers nurses a broader humanistic caring perspective of the discipline of nursing. The Nursing program integrates a caring science curriculum with Franciscan values and a strong education in the liberal arts and sciences. With a focus on mindful learning, reflective practice, and the importance of self-care, our caring science teaching-learning philosophy supports an authentic environment to enhance the student's understanding of social, cultural, economic, and political issues that impact health care.

Annual Salary Range: $78,680.00-$82,620.00

The hiring salary above represent the College's good faith estimate at the time of posting in compliance with the Albany County Salary Transparency Law

Requirements:

A Doctoral Degree in Nursing Education is preferred (Ph.D., Ed.D.), a minimum of a master’s degree in nursing is required. The ideal candidate will have three years or more teaching and administrative experience in baccalaureate and master’s nursing education as well as the accreditation process. Experience with curriculum development is required. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are key to success in this position. Proficiency in all MS Office Professional Suite applications, particularly in Excel, is also required.  The ideal applicant will have well-developed oral and written communication skills, and excellent analytical skills.

A background screening will be required. Candidates who qualify for the position will need to be eligible for and obtain a New York State Nursing License before starting.
