NYONEL Members,

Lots of activity happening around the Governor's Executive Budget proposal, the Legislative Budget proposals and healthcare-related bills.  Your Public Policy and Executive Committees have been busy creating the following statements that have been sent to the Senate and Assembly Health and Higher Education Committee Chairs, and to Chairs of Assembly Ways and Means and Senate Finance Committees.

1.  Support - with concerns noted - for Multistate RN Licensure . 

2.  Support, concern and opposition to specific provisions in the Governor's Executive Budget.

The statements are also attached and posted on the Advocacy page of the NYONEL website.

A third statement, opining on several provisions of the "Recruit, Empower, Support, Pay, Educate, Connect and Train (RESPECT) Nurses Act (A7128A-Gunther/S8175-A Reichlin Melnick), is under development. The full text of that bill is attached and we will share the position statement when complete.
