Two bills extending practice relaxation signed into law today

As Executive Order 4.22 declaring a state of emergency due to healthcare staffing is set to expire today, Governor Hochul signed into law the following two bills that will extend some of the regulatory/practice relaxations provided in the EO:
1. Community Paramedicine Demonstration Program extension for 2 years. S6749B-Rivera/A06683B-Paulin
2. Temporary licensure privileges for out-of-state RNs, LPNs and MDs currently working in New York. A6697B-Fahy/S7492B-Rivera
NYONL supported both bills and today the attached letters were sent, urging the Governor to sign them.
